Softened reproduction of a mace for LARP.

mace is a blunt weapon, a type of club that uses a heavy head usually made of brass, bronze, iron, or steel on the end of a wooden or metallic handle to deliver powerful strikes. The mace was popular for close combat, especially during the medieval period.

A good blow from a mace is powerful enough to cause damage even through armor. Because they were simple and cheap to make, these types of weapons were common amongst peasant rebels and conscript armies. The maces of foot soldiers were usually quite short, while those of cavalrymen were longer and better suited for blows delivered from horseback.

The "Bulava" Mace is one of our all-foam blunt weapons, inspired by the maces used in Eastern Europe, which later became attributes of Cossack leaders.

The shaft has a round core and an 18 cm steel tube embedded in the handle for better control and balance of the weapon.
