MOLDAVITE, silvered pendant

Moldavite is an olive-green (or dull) glass formed by a meteorite impact. It is kind of tektite. It was named after the river Moldau (the Vltava river) in souhthern Bohemia, where Modlavites it occur. Original meteorite fell on the Earth's surface 15 million years ago in Germany (present day Nördlinger Ries).
