A replica of a silver antoninian from the reign of Emperor Probus, one of the last great military leaders of the Roman Empire. Probus reigned from 276-282 AD and was famous for restoring order, victories over barbarians and promoting agriculture and vineyards in the provinces. His coins bore the emperor's portrait with a radiate crown and often a figure of the goddess of victory or a military allegory on the reverse.

This hand-cast zinc replica captures the appearance of the original with the typical relief and Latin inscription. Each piece is patinated to give the authentic look of the ancient metal.

The coin comes in an inscribed gift bag, suitable for collectors, reenactors and lovers of Roman history.
