Replica of a Roman legionary bronze fibula, typology: Almgren 247. Size: 2.4 x 3.5 cm.

This replica was found in Musov, south Moravian locality, located 80 km far from Vindobona (today's Vienna). In 2nd century CE there was a Roman military settlement on the hill called Burgstall.  The Roman Xth Legion checked the Germanic tribes which were defeated in Marcomannic Wars, during the reign of the Emperor Marcus Aurelius.
