Pendant with a bear fang. These, made of bronze or silver, are very often found in the graves of Iron Age Finnish women - especially women, not men. The reason and their significance is still uncertain. Finns sometimes wore real, genuine bear fangs, but the cast, metal ones are associated with women. As you may know, the bear had and still has a special meaning for the Finno-Ugric peoples.
