Handmade belt buckle "Protégé"
Edelweiss has been a symbol of courage, endurance and resilience among mountain peoples since time immemorial. In the Carpathian Mountains, this rare flower is especially valued. In the Ukrainian concept, the emblem is accompanied by a pair of barts, the legendary axes of the Carpathian Hutsuls.
The buckle is cast in brass and then hand-worked. After finishing, the surface is patinated and polished again by hand to bring out all the details of the motif.
Also included is a brass bezel for attachment to the belt. There are two sizes to choose from:
