The common carp is one of the best-known freshwater fish. It thrives in still and slow-moving waters, where it forages primarily near the bottom. Using its extendable mouth and sensitive barbels, it searches for insect larvae, small crustaceans, mollusks, and plant matter.

In the Czech lands, the carp is closely associated with fish farming, particularly in the pond-rich regions of southern Bohemia. It also has a place in cuisine and Christmas traditions. For sport fishermen, it is a sought-after catch that tests both experience and patience when reeling it in.

The pin can be attached to a hat, cap, fishing vest, or backpack. The carp motif will delight both anglers and lovers of life along rivers and ponds.
