A replica of a Thracian weapon called the SICA. This short ancient sword or long dagger was also used by the Dacians and Illyrians. It was a phenomenon of the East in its time, and so became a fixed part of the Thracian equipment in gladiatorial combat. Similar swords have been found in Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Bosnia and Albania.
The replica is constructed of spring hardened steel ČSN 14 260 - 54SiCr6 (hardness 50 - 52 HRC), the hilt is made of wood. Total length 62 cm, blade length 42 cm.
Top quality craftsmanship from a blacksmith's workshop that has long been involved in the production of Celtic and Roman swords.
The replica is sharp, on your request we can also make a blunt sword for historical swordplay.
