Two fighting hares - bronze torques. The torques are inspired by Irish legends of hares and were designed and made in honor of the Irish martial art of Bataireacht - Irsih Stick Fighting.
The jewellery is twisted from bronze wires, the heads cast using the lost wax casting method and soldered to the wires, hand polished.

The fighting hares come from Irish legend. The hare is seen as a "pooka" or spirit that can change shape and appear and disappear at will. It is a very powerful spirit. Hares are born fully furred and with their eyes open, which means they are always ready and alert. They also box to defend themselves, which further solidifies their connection to the history and art of Irish stick fighting.
