The oldest surviving Irish harp can be seen in Trinity College, Dublin. It is named after the 10th century Irish king Brian Boru. In ancient Ireland, harpists were held in high esteem and high social status.
Rich embossed decoration and gilt details. The notebook contains 88 lined pages in cream (ivory).
