This pencil holder with a Greek helmet motif is made of lead-free pewter and features a 3D model of a Corinthian helmet. It comes on a 13 cm long black wooden pencil with the quote "The God of War is impartial: He gives death to him who gives it away. - Ilias", printed in silver ink.
The Corinthian helmet originated in ancient Greece and takes its name from the city-state of Corinth. It was made of bronze and covered the entire head and neck, with only openings for the eyes and mouth. Some helmets may have been decorated with a chokol of horsehair.
The Iliad is one of the two major ancient Greek epic poetic works attributed to the poet Homer. It is set at the end of the Trojan War, the ten-year siege of the city of Troy by the Greek states, and describes the momentous events of the final weeks of that conflict.
