This model of a Roman gladiator helmet on a pedestal is made of hand-painted resin and measures 7 cm in height. The pedestal bears the inscription “Gladiator Helmet.” The model comes in a white box with the product name printed on the front.
The model is based on a murmillo-type gladiator helmet. Its distinctive features include a high crest, a face guard made of interlocking rings, and a wide brim that protects the back of the neck and the sides of the head.
The murmillo wears a loincloth, a belt, short shin guards, and a linen arm guard on his right arm. For defense, he uses a curved rectangular Roman legionary shield. His weapon is the short legionary sword, the gladius, from which the term “gladiator” is derived.
