The child of the Norse God Loki, Jörmungandr - the "Midgardian" or World Serpent - is the greatest ouroboros. It circles the ocean that surrounds the world; once this "giant monster" lets go of its own tail, the world will end. On the front of the snake's body are the runes "Jormungandr Miogarosormr", which means "Jörmungandr, the World Serpent".

In Norse mythology, Jörmungandr, also known as the Midgard Serpent, is a sea serpent and the middle offspring of the giantess Angrboda and Loki. According to the Prose Edda, Odin took Loki's three children with Angrboda - the wolf Fenrir, the goddess Hel, and Jörmungandr - and threw Jörmungandr into the great ocean that surrounds Midgard. The serpent grew so large that it encircled the entire Earth and took hold of its own tail, earning it the name World Serpent.

An antique-looking Viking-style pewter pendant depicting a dragon snake biting its own tail and forming a circle shape. It is decorated with a runic inscription on the front and the names of the snake on the back.

Strap: Black cord with sliding black pewter clasp, adjustable up to 70 cm (26") in length.

Clasp: The pendant hangs from a leather cord with a sliding pewter T-clasp.
