This ceramic replica of a medieval figurine was created as part of an experimental archaeological project aimed at understanding how people in the Middle Ages worked with clay and what meanings they put into their objects. Each piece is hand-modelled, allowing the irregularities and subtle differences typical of original artefacts found in archaeological situations to be observed. The figurines are then fired in a traditional wood-fired kiln, where the varying temperature and air supply create unique color hues and surface texture - exactly the phenomena archaeologists observe in real finds.
- The height of the figure is approximately 9 cm
