Rune dice were among the very first dice ever created by the designers at Q WORKSHOP, and we always remember them as our first step to conquering the world with dice. The first rune dice were handmade and painted with such passion and care that we still marvel at their quality and unique charm.

Runes have always been mysterious. Full of mystery, these signs attract the eye and raise questions about the forgotten knowledge of ancient times. Runes once served as writing, but they were much more than just letters. Each rune was a symbol of supernatural power - to write a rune was to summon and channel the power it represented. Runes were traditionally carved into stone, wood, bone or metal, hard surfaces, rather than written in ink on parchment. That is why we chose them as the engravings for our dice. We want to create durable dice filled with magic - because "real magic" does exist in board games. Now you can "write" the stories of your adventures with Rune dice.

These dice are labeled with the runic alphabet, making them more than just ordinary sets. People have been studying runic writing for centuries. Our designers have consulted the use of the runic alphabet not only with Norse runologists, but also with the last representatives of the dwarven race.
