Saxon tent Jorvik, 2 x 4 m, 340 gsm, natural colour This compact Saxon tent, inspired by historical models, offers enough space for 1 to 2 people with their equipment. It only takes 2 people and a few simple steps to easily erect the tent. The longer poles are collapsible, allowing easy storage and transport of the tent. With an internal height of approx. 2.10 m, it allows even burly Vikings to stand upright. The attached awning with a height of approx. 1.82 m provides good protection from the sun and rain. The door can easily be rolled up on both sides and attached to the side of the tent wall with bows. Closing is done with eyelets and loops. The entrance is approx. 1.80 m high. The lower edge of the tent is fitted with an apron that folds inwards and prevents the penetration of wind, dirt and dust.

The historic Saxon tent is treated against mould and fungi. The 100% cotton canvas with a weight of 340 g/m² is robust, tear-resistant and yet affordable, making it an indispensable equipment for medieval markets, military camps or LARP events.

Our tents and tarpaulins are already waterproofed. To maintain/restore the waterproofness of the tent, we recommend regular treatment with impregnations such as PLUVONIN.

The contents of the package include all the accessories necessary for the correct erection and fixing of the tent.

All measurements are approximate and may differ from the actual product delivered. The tents are handmade, which gives them an authentic look, but can also lead to minor imperfections. Cotton is a natural material that reacts differently to different outdoor conditions and can shrink or stretch significantly. As a result, the iron bars may not immediately fit into the intended holes. In some cases, the bars may need to be slightly shortened to the desired length. Do not attempt to forcefully stretch the tent canvas as this increases the risk of tearing the canvas or bursting the seams.

Important information on the assembly, handling and maintenance of our historic tents:

You will prolong the life of your Viking, Roman, Saxon, Knights, medieval tent, trade stand or medieval marketplace and be able to use it for many years if you observe the following precautions:

- Do not overstretch the tension cords, as natural materials such as wood or cotton shrink and stretch when exposed to humidity. This will prevent, for example, the holes for the rods from deforming, which can make it easier for water to penetrate. We recommend loosening the cords slightly in the evening, as night-time humidity can increase the strain on the tent. Cords should also be loosened in the event of rain or high humidity.
- If the tent has been exposed to moisture, we strongly recommend drying it after use, otherwise mould may form.
- Never clean the tent with detergents or other cleaning agents. The best way to remove dried dirt is to use a brush.
- If you will be storing the tent for a long time, separate all accessories (pegs, cords, etc.) from the tent itself and ideally pack everything separately. Make sure all items are dry and stored in a dry place.
