- Viking hook for wraps - Birka, bronze / pair
Viking hook (pair) for Birka wraps. This set of two Viking leg wrap hooks is a faithful replica of a find from the Viking town of Birka, Sweden and dates from the 10th century.
The Viking hooks were found in grave 903 in Birka in the knee area of a man as a pair on linen trousers. These hooks are published in a study in the book Birka II by Inga Hägg.
They were worn among the Vikings by both men and women, and can be found in areas of Russia, as well as in England and Scandinavia.
The small eyelets allow the hook to be sewn conveniently to the top of the wraps.
Dimensions are: 3 x 2 cm. Price is per pair.
