Replica of a historic Roemer glass is based on traditional shapes used in Central Europe for centuries. The glass is made from so-called forest glass, characterized by a subtle color tone and small irregularities created during hand production. These features give each piece its individual character and refer to the original glassmaking craft.
Roemer glasses were made for drinking wine and became a symbol of burgher life and festive occasions. Their sturdy stem and decorated mid-section provided not only a more secure grip but also an important aesthetic function.
Each piece is made by hand in a Czech family-run glassworks and is not a product of industrial manufacture. The glass is approximately 15 cm high with a volume of about 0.3 liters. Due to hand production, individual pieces may slightly differ in shape and surface, which is a natural feature of this type of glass.
