The replica of the ducat of Petr Vok of Rožmberk commemorates the last of the important Rožmberk family.

Petr Vok (1539-1611) was a nobleman, collector and statesman who led a turbulent life, converted from Catholicism to the Unity of the Brethren and was actively involved in political affairs. After the death of his brother Wilhelm, he took over the rule of the Rosenberg estate, gradually sold his estates to protect his inheritance from foreign interests, and finally sold the Český Krumlov castle to Emperor Rudolf II.

The ducat commemorates his life story, including his passion for collecting and the development of culture. In Třeboň, he had the castle rebuilt in Renaissance style and created one of the largest libraries of its time with more than 1,600 volumes, paintings, astrological and astronomical instruments and natural history. During his lifetime, he managed to protect the South Bohemians during the invasion of mercenaries from Passau in 1611, which also proves his ability to protect the estate and its inhabitants.

The replica ducat is suitable for collectors, history lovers and fans of Czech Renaissance culture. It commemorates the personality of Petr Vok and his role in history, while serving as a collector's item with a valuable motif.
