Fede ring - a ring of friendship has a similar meaning as tied hands, belts or bracelets. This ring is a loose replica of rings from Bohemia, dating from the 13th - 15th centuries, Rokštejn in South Moravia. The execution of the practice is identical to rings from England-Wales from the 14th-15th centuries.
Afede ring is a medieval ring in which two hands are held, as in friendship, fidelity, love or engagement. The earliest symbolism was used in Ancient Rome, with a boom in friendship rings from the 12th century onwards. The name "fede" is from the Italian expression mani in fede (" hands clasped in faith").
Rings with hands were very popular throughout the Middle Ages, until the 17th century. An analogy is the traditional Irish Claddagh ring, also symbolizing love and friendship. Rings can also be decorated with inscriptions.
