The birth of the Japanese dice set is strongly influenced by virtues based on the old samurai traditions, which are known in the West mainly in an idealized, romanticized form. However, this is richly sufficient to bring some elements into modern times, creating an image of the samurai not only as a warrior, but also as a man of indomitable will, unyielding self-discipline and a firm value system. According to the bushido, the code of honour, these noble warriors exemplified what every man and woman should aspire to.

The Bushidó encompasses the seven cardinal virtues originally called Gi, Rei, Yu, Meiyo, Jin, Makoto and Chu - that is, Honesty, Respect, Courage, Honour, Compassion, Sincerity and Fidelity. We wanted our Japanese dice to reflect these virtues in a way that was not overt, but still clear and eloquent. We know that our fans are imaginative, so we take the liberty of the following interpretation.
