The Sigmund is in many ways a unique and historic Helle knife, created for the anniversary collection in 2012 - and carries a rich story with it. Two generations of the Helle family contributed to its design: the blade was designed by Sigmund Helle in the 1930s and the handle by his son Torodd Helle in 2012. The knife thus represents 80 years of tradition.
Sigmund is a classic utility knife. Its beautifully crafted handle in dark oak combined with leather gives the knife its personality and makes it a worthy masterpiece. The blade made of triple-layer laminated Helle stainless steel is perfectly sharp right out of the box.
The medium handle is hand ground to a satin finish and offers a grip large enough for medium to larger hands. A small but important finger rest guides the hand to a secure grip even when working close to the blade.
The Sigmund knife comes in a genuine leather sheath, which is also extraordinary - old tools are used in its manufacture, giving the leather a unique vintage look.
