Main gauche dagger with sheath, inspired by 17th-century examples. The French term main gauche means “left hand” and refers to its historical use alongside a rapier. Held in the left hand, the dagger was used to parry and deflect an opponent’s blade.
A distinctive feature is the broad steel sail guard with pierced decoration and reinforced, rolled edges, complemented by long quillons. The wooden grip is bound in steel wire.
The C60 high-carbon steel blade has a diamond cross-section and a reinforced ricasso. It is supplied unsharpened. A stitched vegetable-tanned leather sheath is included.
