Large medieval brooch for cloak, coat or waistcoat. A historically authentic medieval brooch for High Middle Ages clothing, modelled on medieval six-stroke ring brooches.
The clasp is decorated with small glass inlays in alternating sequences of green and red.
Unlike most ring brooches, which are usually very small and were only used to close the neckline, this medieval brooch is much larger, so that coarser fabrics can be closed with the brooch.
Thus, the medieval brooch is not intended as a shirt neck closure, but is suitable for a coat or jacket closure.
