This cuirass is simple yet elegant, inspired by the 13th century originals. The cloak extends to the hips and has a small collar - called a sword deflector - which protects the weak point between the torso and leg armour.
The cuirass is fastened by tightening the 4 cm wide leather straps at the back, holding it firmly in place over the gambeson.
