The clever medieval pouch closure is based on historical belt bags from the late Middle Ages around 1400 AD, where this closure technique was used.
The ingenious closure disc is attached to the leather strap that closes the pouch, and slips through a slit in the flap.
The medieval purse is made of soft, velvety nappa cowhide approximately 1 mm thick and a sturdy 2 mm thick top grain leather for the flap of the bag.
There is a belt loop on the back of the bag for belts up to 7 cm wide. The medieval pouch fits virtually any medieval belt, and is therefore great for costume in LARP and historical reenactment.
The pouch has a diameter of 40 cm when open and approximately 17 × 13 cm when closed.
