The medieval woollen linen-linedpouch is based on historical models of small bags, which were an indispensable part of men's and women's clothing in the Middle Ages.
Pouches were used to safely store coins, seals, amulets, crosses, keys or other personal items that could not be worn loosely in clothing. The pouches were often hung from the belt where they were easily accessible, yet protected.
The outer part is made of a strong woolen fabric, which was a commonly used material in the Middle Ages due to its durability and ability to protect the contents from moisture. The inner linen lining provides extra durability and softness against small objects. The simple and functional cut matches the period style. Closure is by drawstring, as was common in the Middle Ages. The bag is an accessory for historical reconstructions, but also an example of traditional craftsmanship.
