Norman belt fitting set - Britain, 11th-12th century
For belt width: 20 mm
Material: brass

This set of fittings is a replica of Norman belt fittings from the period after the conquest of England in 1066, when the continental style of equipment and fashion began to spread in the British Isles. The fittings match the types found in archaeological finds from the 11th and 12th centuries and are suitable for both military and civilian depictions of the Norman period.

The set includes a typical buckle and end cap, designed for a narrow belt 20mm wide - common in men's equipment of the time. The brass finish faithfully matches the original finds, which often exhibit a simple but robust and functional design with subtle decoration.

Ideal for use in reconstructions of early medieval costume, re-enactments of the Norman period (e.g. Battle of Hastings), LARP or as a historically faithful accessory.
