While mastering a sword took years, halberds required constant training, and bows demanded great patience, maces were always known for their surprising simplicity. Lift it high, bring it down hard – as the common soldiers used to say.
However, with the more frequent use of plate armor and large shields, simple maces gradually lost some of their effectiveness. That’s why some blacksmiths came up with a clever solution: add an iron spike on one side and a hammerhead on the other. This allowed armor to be pierced – and wars to be won. Moreover, such weapons didn’t require long, exhausting years of training, making them easy for armies to use. The combination of these advantages ensured that maces and war hammers remained in use for centuries, even after more complex weapons like crossbows had appeared on the battlefield.
This LARP-ready war hammer features a steel-colored head with golden details, giving it a strikingly realistic appearance. The handle has a wood-like finish. As always, the weapon is made of Calimacil foam – an almost indestructible and safe material that allows for repeated combat without risk of injury to either party.
Every warrior, historical guard, or savage orc will appreciate this war hammer for its efficiency and ease of use. Peasants, merchants, and mercenaries alike will value its durability and ease of handling.
