Black glass playing stone made in traditional way in Czech workshop. Each piece is hand shaped so no two are exactly the same. Similar stones were used in ancient and medieval board games where they served as pieces or tokens.
This game stone is suitable for historical reenactments, making your own game sets or as an addition to traditional games such as Hnefatafl, Fidchell or Alquerque. Its weight and shape make it sit well in the hand and it has a pleasing sound and luster when placed on the board.
The stone is made of black glass and hand-cut into a smooth shape with a diameter of 17-20 mm. Each piece may vary slightly in colour or surface texture, which enhances its authentic appearance. The product was handmade in a Czech workshop that follows the old craft traditions.
