The hood is well sized and covers the shoulders. It has a square face hole. This hood also has a square face guard which can be folded down, is padded on the inside, covered with leather and can be fastened with a leather drawstring. This type of hood was common during the High Middle Ages, for example worn by Normans and Crusaders.
Type RRR ring mesh: This particular type of mesh is exclusively composed of round rings with round riveted heads. Each individual ring was riveted by hand. The pattern is 4 in 1. This type is called RRR (Round Ring Riveted).
