This muscle cuirass, called lorica musculata, is inspired by the original design used by Roman legion commanders and high Roman nobility. The carapace was handcrafted from steel, then plated in brass and given an antique patina. Among its distinctive features are the intricate metal binding and the famous bull decoration, which is placed on the front and symbolizes strength and courage, two key qualities that were highly valued in ancient Rome.

The lorica musculata was not only a symbol of prestige and power, but also a practical type of protection, its shape accentuating the wearer's musculature and increasing his authority on the battlefield and in parades. This style of armour was often made of bronze or iron and covered only the torso, allowing officers relative mobility. Fragments of these shells have been found at archaeological sites such as Pompeii and Herculaneum, demonstrating their use during the Roman Empire. In some cases, the armour was richly decorated with engraved designs and ornate ornaments, indicating the high social status of its wearers.
