The Sleipnir buckle is inspired by the mythical horse of the god Odin, who had eight legs and could gallop between worlds. The Vikings believed that Sleipnir symbolized strength, speed and protection on the move. This motif often appears in metal ornaments and warriors' equipment, not only as decoration but also as a talisman for courage.
The buckle is suitable for belts and bags up to 2.7 cm wide. Its shape with a pair of stylized horse heads and patinated surface in an old brass tone looks authentic and will fit naturally into a historical or fantasy costume. Thanks to the solid casting, it holds well and can withstand everyday use.
