Thulit, Norway, tumbled stone

Thulite is a pink to raspberry red variety of zoisite, named after the mythical land of Thule. It was first discovered in Norway, where its most famous deposits are found, but it is also found in Austria and the USA. Its colouring is due to an admixture of manganese.

It is formed in metamorphosed rocks under high pressure and temperature.

Thulite is considered a stone of joy, love and creativity. It promotes optimism, self-confidence and harmony in relationships. It helps to overcome fear and gives courage to express emotions. It is also used to promote vitality and spiritual growth.
