Belt buckle "Vegvisir"
The Vegvisir (Icelandic for "signpost" or "compass") is a magical symbol from Icelandic tradition that was meant to help the wearer find the right path even in bad weather and unfamiliar terrain. The symbol is documented in the Huld manuscript, collected by Geir Vigfusson in 1880, although the motif itself dates from a much earlier period.
The buckle is cast in solid brass. Each piece is then hand-finished, given a patina to bring out the details and re-polished to its final form.
Included is a brass frame in two sizes - 38mm and 45mm - for easy attachment to the belt of your choice.
