Relief Oak Wall Artwork
This wall artwork brings together two powerful symbols from Norse tradition. At the center is the Vegvisir, often called the Norse compass or symbol of guidance. According to tradition it was meant to help a person find the right direction even in storms and uncertainty.
On both sides stand the ravens Huginn and Muninn, the faithful messengers of the god Odin. In Norse mythology they represent thought and memory, and every day they fly across the world to gather knowledge and bring news back to their master.
Together these symbols form a strong visual message
• Wisdom and knowledge represented by Odin’s ravens
• Direction and guidance symbolized by the Vegvisir
• Norse mythology and ancient symbols of the North
The artwork is made from oak wood, a material known for its strength and natural character. The motif is not printed on a flat board. Instead, the design is burned into the wood and processed in relief, creating depth and subtle shadows that highlight the details of the symbols.
Because of this combination of material and technique, the design changes slightly depending on the light, making the artwork appear lively and expressive on the wall. The natural grain of oak also gives each piece an authentic appearance.
The artwork is made in the Czech Republic. Natural oak combined with a motif inspired by Norse mythology creates a decoration that fits both modern interiors and spaces inspired by history, fantasy, or Viking culture.
