Akka - Sami Goddess of fertility. She is the wife of Ukko, the God of Thunder. She protects pregnant women and young children. She is also associated with agriculture and harvesting. Akka is often depicted as a woman with long hair and sometimes appears holding a staff and dressed in traditional Sami clothing.
Her care includes overseeing the reproduction of humans and animals and the maturation of plants. Sacrifices were held in her honour to encourage the breeding of reindeer herds.
