Scandinavian belt fitting set - Birka, 10th century
Grave No. 750
For belt width: 20-22 mm
This set of fittings is a faithful replica of a find from the Viking burial site of Birka (present-day Sweden), specifically from grave 750, dated to the 10th century. Birka was an important commercial and cultural centre of the Viking era, known for its rich graves with furnishings reflecting the status and craftsmanship of the time.
The belt set includes a typical belt buckle, an end cap, such as were used on men's belts in the late Viking culture. This type of metal fitting combined functionality with a distinctive decorative quality, often with zoomorphic or geometric motifs.
The set is designed for a belt 20-22 mm wide and is ideal for Viking clothing reenactments, historical festivals or as a collector's item.
