This 3,5 cm wide Celtic boar is made of resin and has an antique bronze finish. It comes with a full-colour information card which contains a depiction of a Celtic boar. Also included is historical information about the importance of the boar in Celtic culture. The figure and card are packaged in a clear box.
For the Celts , the boar was a symbol of fertility and wealth, but also of courage and strength of warriors, as it was considered a powerful and dangerous animal. The Roman historian Tacitus reported that one of the Celtic tribes in Germania wore amulets with the motif of a wild boar as protection in battle.
