Massive silver Celtic bracelet with bull heads. Inspired by the discovery of a tirques from Trichtingen, Baden-Württemberg, southwestern Germany, ca. 2nd century BC. Torques is Latin for necklace, the common name for all fixed necklaces in the form of metal rings worn around the neck. It has been known since the Bronze Age, was favored by the Romans, and is also considered a typical Celtic artifact. This jewellery was a religious and secular badge of power, worship and protection, worn by gods and goddesses, heroes, warriors, princesses and princes; it was a sign of high social status and the jewellery of prominent women.
Our rendition of this amazing Celtic work is in the form of a very massive silver bracelet. The weight depends on the circumference of the bracelet,on average it is 70g!
