Masonic sword with scabbard
Freemasons, also known as Freemasons, are members of an ancient fraternity that originated in Europe in the early modern period. The organization follows the symbolism of medieval building guilds and emphasizes moral values, personal development, brotherhood, and symbolic rituals. They still use a variety of ritual objects - including ceremonial swords- in their traditional rites and ceremonies, called the Temple Service.
This Masonic ceremonial sword has an ornate brass hilt and an engraved blade without a blade. On the blade are depicted the characteristic symbols of Freemasonry, especially the angle and the compass. The sword is used in ceremonies as a symbol of temple protection, honour, justice and spiritual authority.
A matching scabbard is also included. The sword is decorative.
