The GLADIATOR sweatshirt with the Latin inscription Dum spiro spero (As long as I breathe, I hope) is a very widespread motto. The author is believed to be Marcus Tullius Cicero. Several clans of families, such as the MacLennan, Liversidge, Doran and Partidge clans of Scotland, consider it theirs.

In the Czech Republic it is used as a motto by the Prostejov Airborne 601st Special Forces Group of General Moravec.
