Helle Lappland celebrates the knifemaking traditions of northern Scandinavia, with its classic design that follows the tool often used as a utility knife by the indigenous Sami people.
The Sami use these large knives(Lauku) in their everyday nomadic life. This large knife is fitted with an unlaminated Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel blade. The blade is relatively thin to make it as effective as possible when slicing. The "barren" shaped handle is made of birch and completed with brass elements. Suitable for medium to large hands.
The knife sits deep in its traditional leather sheath, which attaches with a leather strap. A great camp companion that, along with a smaller classic knife, makes a perfect pair in your gear.
The name Lappland refers to the northern region that connects and overlaps the northernmost parts of Finland, Norway and Sweden.
