This quilting serves as padded armour to be worn under ring or plate armour, or on its own as armour for historical reenactments or costumes. The cut includes detachable sleeves and the ability to side-draw/adjust the width for a better fit to the figure.
Due to the length and construction, it covers the torso for a longer portion - suitable for the medieval period when similar padded layers helped to spread out blows and protect the body.
