The silver pendant and earrings with faceted moldavite combine fine jewellery craftsmanship with the uniqueness of this Czech gemstone. Moldavite, also known as vltavín, is an exceptionally rare tektite formed approximately 15 million years ago during the impact of a giant meteorite in what is now Bavaria. Fragments of molten rock were propelled by immense pressure and heat to South Bohemia and Moravia, where deposits of this green stone of cosmic origin gradually formed. Its colour ranges from light bottle green to deep emerald, always displaying a mysterious sheen that makes it highly valued as both jewellery and a collector’s piece.

Moldavite is prized not only for its rarity — natural resources are rapidly diminishing — but also for the traditions associated with it. It is said that Winston Churchill carried moldavite in his pocket for good luck, and in South Bohemia it was customary to gift this stone to women as a symbol of love and protection.
