The replica of the French ecu from the 15th century refers to the reign of Charles VIII, when similar coins were a symbol of royal power and wealth. On the obverse, it bears a shield with three lilies under a crown, one of the traditional emblems of French kings. The brass finish gives the coin a warm hue and a smooth, bright shiny surface.
