The trilobite pendant Paradoxides gracilis is inspired by one of the most famous Czech trilobites. The massive silver casting captures the characteristic shape of the shell and body structure of this prehistoric animal. It is made using the traditional lost wax casting method, thanks to which the fine reliefs and natural surface texture stand out.
The motif is based on the species Paradoxides gracilis, a trilobite from the Middle Cambrian that is more than 500 million years old. Fossils of this species are known mainly from the Barrandien area, one of the most important palaeontological sites in the Czech Republic.

Trilobites are among the most famous fossils of the protohistoric world. They lived in ancient seas approximately 520 to 250 million years ago and their fossils help paleontologists study the evolution of life on Earth. Thanks to their distinctive shape, trilobites have become a popular motif in jewellery, collectibles and natural history decorations.
