This saber tooth tiger, Smilodon to be exact, is made of resin and comes on a quality key chain. The keychain is presented on a card with an illustration of a sabre-toothed tiger.

The sabre-toothed tiger, known professionally as Smilodon, was a prehistoric representative of the felids that inhabited the Earth approximately 2.5 million to 10,000 years ago. Its distinctive feature was its long, curved canines, which could reach lengths of up to 28 cm. Smilodon was well adapted to hunting large herbivores.

Despite its name, it was not a true tiger, but a separate evolutionary branch of felids. It had a sturdy body and powerful forelimbs, suggesting that it ambushed its prey and killed them with precise, deadly bites using its impressive canines. The extinction of the sabre-toothed tiger is probably linked to climate change and the decline of megafauna at the end of the Pleistocene.
