This 4-cm-tall Roman gladiator figurine is made of a lead-free tin alloy. Four different variants are available: secutor, retiarius, Thracian, and Samnite. The package contains one figurine attached to a full-color information card. The front of the card features a gladiator mosaic motif, while the back includes historical information and illustrations of all four collectible figurines.

Gladiators train to fight each other or against animals, sometimes to the death. In arenas and amphitheaters, they fight for the entertainment of the spectators.

The secutor is a type of gladiator primarily designed to fight the retiarius. He uses a tall rectangular shield, a short thrusting sword called a gladius, and a helmet that covers his entire face.

The retiarius is armed with a trident, a dagger, and a net. The large arm guard, the manica, extends up to the shoulder and the left side of the chest. He most often fights against secutors or murmillons.

The Thracian wears a helmet with a wide brim that protects the entire head, a small round or square shield, and two tall greaves extending down to the thighs. His weapon is the curved Thracian sword, the sica.

The Samnite uses a large, oblong scutum shield and wears an ocrea greave on his left leg. His head is protected by a galea helmet with a face guard and a distinctive crest. He is armed with a gladius sword.
