The Borre style is one of the outstanding artistic styles of the Viking era, which originated around the 9th and 10th centuries. The name comes from the discovery of a burial site in Borre, Norway, where artefacts with characteristic motifs of this style were found. The Borre style is part of a wider Scandinavian artistic tradition that includes other styles such as Oseberg, Jelling, Mammen and Urnes.
